Vazhachal Waterfalls lies on the Chalakudy river just upstream of Athirappilly, surrounded by dense forest. The water spreads wide over rocks rather than dropping in a single fall.
Most travellers combine Athirappilly and Vazhachal in one day trip from Thrissur or Kochi.
