After the river garden we were hungry, and the small shops lining the road near Thumboormuzhi smelled too good to skip.
Boiled kappa (tapioca) with a fiery red fish curry, a plate of beef fry, and sweet milky tea to finish. Everything was cooked fresh in the kitchen behind the counter.
Most of these shops close by early evening. Carry cash; not every shop takes UPI reliably due to patchy network.
