Chavakkad Beach is a wide, uncrowded stretch of the Arabian Sea coast close to Guruvayur. Fishing boats, coconut groves and long sandy walks give it a calm, village feel.
Many pilgrims to Guruvayur stop here for the sunset. The sea can be rough, so it is better for walking than swimming.
A short drive from Guruvayur town; about 30 km from Thrissur. Guruvayur railway station is the nearest.
