A Summer Visit To Charpa, When The Falls Turn Gentle
What Charpa looks like in April — fewer people, thin silver streams and a quiet forest road.
A roadside waterfall between Athirappilly and Vazhachal that roars in the monsoon and almost touches the road.
Updated · By Morning Trip Holidays
Charpa Falls tumbles down a rocky hillside right next to the Athirappilly–Vazhachal road. In the monsoon the spray reaches the road and the bridge below, so most travellers simply pull over and watch.
In summer it thins to a few white ribbons over black rock, still pretty but far quieter.
About 3 km past Athirappilly Falls towards Vazhachal on the same road.
